Audemars Piguet

Machine translation pending human review. Figures and sources match the original.

Audemars Piguet was born in 1875 in Le Brassus, in the Vallée de Joux, when Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet joined forces; the partnership took that name in 1881. It remains in the hands of the founding families. Its modern fame begins with the 1972 Royal Oak, designed by Gérald Genta, which put steel into haute horlogerie. The 1993 Offshore took it to larger sizes, and the 2019 Code 11.59 opened a round-cased line.
