History
Dutch couple Peter Stas and Aletta Stas-Bax founded Frederique Constant in 1988, with a name honouring their great-grandparents, one of whom founded a dial company in 1904. Based in Geneva, it has brought classic Swiss watchmaking to accessible prices, first with the Heart Beat and later with its own manufacture calibres. Citizen Watch bought it in 2016.
