Omega

Machine translation pending human review. Figures and sources match the original.

Omega grew from the workshop Louis Brandt opened in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. His sons created a 19-ligne calibre called Omega in 1894, and the movement's name ended up naming the whole company in 1903. The house has made measurement its calling card: Olympic timekeeping, instrument watches in 1957 and a Speedmaster that reached the Moon in 1969. Since 1999 it has backed the Co-Axial escapement and since 2015 Master Chronometer certification with METAS.
